Maj Scott D. Adamson 

Biography

Major Scott D. Adamson is an active duty U.S. Air Force officer and previously served as a military analyst at FDD’s Center on Military and Political Power.

Scott most recently served as Chief, Africa Branch within the Civil Engineer Division of Headquarters United States Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa. As Chief, he managed Air Force civil engineer operations across United States Africa Command’s 53-nation area of responsibility. His branch directed execution of base operating support, sustainability and facility construction at seven austere locations, enabling 3,800 warfighters and combat operations for two Combatant Commands.

From July 2017 to July 2019, Scott was assigned as Deputy Chief, Design and Construction Branch within the Europe Division of the Air Force Civil Engineer Center. In this capacity, he was responsible for oversight and coordination of U.S. Air Force Military Construction executed under the European Deterrence Initiative and European Infrastructure Consolidation posture programs.

He has deployed to Afghanistan, Oman, and Niger.

Scott earned an M.S. in Engineering Management from the Air Force Institute of Technology, a Master of Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Air Force Academy.
